About Water Rooftop
Built in 1891 by architect Thomas F Houghton, this building served as a factory setting for almost a century. Changing hands over the 1900s, this building has hosted factories creating anything from steam fittings to wheelbarrows to smoking pipes and accessories. This building is a fantastic example of the American Round Arch style, and the exterior is largely unaltered from its original design. The Water Rooftop is situated directly next to the Manhattan bridge, which provides wide, beautiful shots of the bridge, and the surrounding DUMBO area. With unique two-tone, graffiti-styled illustrations decorating the edges of this rooftop, as well as the entrance, this rooftop is perfect for anyone who needs a fantastic view both of the Manhattan bridge and of the historic and winding streets of DUMBO.
